Privacy
Shortlist is a tool by Ben Broch (brochbuilds.com) that finds local businesses on Google Maps and checks each one with Jev, an AI model. This page covers what it stores about you and why.
What we store
- Your Google account basics when you sign in: your name, email address, profile photo and Google account ID. We ask Google for nothing else, and we never see your password.
- Your searches: what you typed, the businesses found, Jev's results, and any emails looked up for them.
- Usage counts: how many searches you ran each day and what they cost, so we can apply the free daily limit.
- Credit purchases: the amount, date and Stripe reference of each purchase, and a record of what each paid search cost. Stripe handles your card; we never see or store card details.
What we use it for
To sign you in, show you your saved searches, keep your searches private to your account, and enforce the daily limit. We don't sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the services below that run Shortlist.
Services that handle data for Shortlist
- Google, for sign-in.
- Supabase, which stores your searches and account basics.
- Stripe, which processes credit purchases.
- Vercel, which hosts the site.
- Treg (treg.to), which fetches Google Maps listings and runs Jev's checks. It receives your search terms and business listings, not your account details.
Connecting Shortlist to Claude
If you connect Shortlist to Claude, Claude receives a token that lets it run searches as you. Remove Shortlist from Claude's connector settings to stop it.
Business information
Shortlist shows business details that are already public on Google Maps and on each business's own website, such as a business phone number or the email it publishes.
Deleting your data
You can delete any saved search from the Shortlist home page. To delete your account and everything linked to it, email hey@brochbuilds.com from the address you signed in with, and we'll do it within 30 days.
