Terms of service

By using Shortlist you agree to these terms. Shortlist is run by Ben Broch (brochbuilds.com).

The service

Shortlist is in beta. It's provided as is: listings come from Google Maps and business websites, and Jev's checks are automated judgments that can be wrong. Check anything important before you rely on it. We may change the limits or the service, or pause it.

Credit and prices

• Every new account starts with 50¢ of free credit. After that, you buy credit in $5 steps through Stripe.
• Searches cost 3¢ for each city searched, with Jev's checks included. Finding emails costs 1¢ for every 10 websites read. Filters, saved searches, CSV downloads and Copy for Claude are free.
• You see the price before a search starts, and you're only charged for the cities and websites that were actually read. If you stop a search, or it fails on our side, the rest isn't charged.
• Credit doesn't expire. It's tied to your account and can't be transferred or exchanged for cash. Free credit can't be refunded.
• If you're not happy, email us within 30 days of a purchase and we'll refund the purchased credit you haven't used. Refunded credit comes off your balance.
• We may change prices. The price shown before a search is the price you pay for it.

Your account

You sign in with Google and you're responsible for what's done with your account, including through Claude if you connect it.

How you may use results

• Follow the laws that apply to your outreach. In the US that includes CAN-SPAM for email (a way to unsubscribe and your real address) and the TCPA for calls and texts.
• Phone numbers are business lines. Call them by hand; don't send automated calls or texts to them.
• Don't use Shortlist to spam, harass, or collect data about private individuals.
• Don't try to get around the limits, resell access, or overload the service.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses from using Shortlist, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending

You can stop using Shortlist at any time and ask us to delete your data (see Privacy). We may suspend accounts that break these terms. If we ever shut Shortlist down, we'll refund unused credit.
